I’ve been obsessed with making acrylic keychains recently; I think everyone in the Cricut crafting world has been! I mean, they’re seriously cute, super quick to create and make the perfect gift. What’s not to love, right?!
After playing around with a few different SVGS I realised this round floral design from my Wildflower Bundle would be perfect as a keychain. The SVG needed to be thickened up a bit so it would cut well in such a small size, but I think the finished Keychain is so damn cute!

If you want to make this Cricut project yourself, I’ve included the keychain SVG for FREE; head to the bottom of this article to download it and follow the instructions below. It’s a great project for Cricut beginners
Materials & Supplies needed to make a Wildflower T-shirt
- Cricut Explore, Maker or Joy
- Adhesive Vinyl Oracle 651
- Acrylic Keychains
- Weeding Tools
- Transfer Tape
- Tools to attach chain
- Meadow SVG
Before starting this Cricut project, you’ll need to head to the bottom of this article and download the Free Keychain SVG. The file will be emailed directly to your inbox (don’t forget to check your junk mail). Once you’ve downloaded it, you’ll need to unzip the folder to extract the SVG. Open up Cricut Design Space and upload the SVG. The SVG is sized at 4.8×4.1cm (approx. 1.88×1.61inch); this is the perfect size for a 5cm (approx. 2inch) acrylic keychain disc. Sometimes Circut Design Space will open designs in larger sizes, so be sure to double-check the measurements before cutting!
I’m using Oracle 651 vinyl; it’s permanent and perfect for the wear and tear of keychains. Turn the dial on your Cricut Explore to custom settings, select ‘Premium Vinyl – Permanent’ from the menu in Design Space. Then you’re ready to cut.
Once the design has finished cutting, remove the vinyl from the mat and start weeding.
You’ll need your weeding tool for this; simply remove the areas of vinyl that don’t form part of the design (for example, the background and inner sections of the flowers). Be super careful not to pull up any of the smaller leaves.
Grab a square of your transfer tape and lay it over the design, heavily burnish using your Cricut tool to make sure all vinyl is attached to the transfer tape. Then lay the transfer tape (with the design attached) over the acrylic keychain disc. Take your time and be careful to line it up, so the placement is central. Again, burnish heavily, so the design adheres to the keychain. Carefully pull back the transfer tape, ensuring the design remains on the keychain.
You could add resin on top for extra protection. Remember to remove the backing protector layer from the keychain. Connect the keychain and tassel; you’ll need small pliers to do this easily.
And there you have it, a super cute floral keychain ready to attach to your keys!
